Objective of the hands-on course :
The objective of this course is to provide the attendees with a deep theoretical knowledge but more important with a deep hands-on experience on the management of single tooth implants in the esthetic zone in order to maximize the peri-implant soft tissue esthetics around the final restorations – critical element for achieving gingival integration and esthetic success.
In this course, a different variety of videos will be shown placing implants in the esthetic zone either immediate or delayed. Two different types of workshop will be performed by the participants a prosthetic and a surgical one. This type of course set up allows to blend both disciplines into one in order to be familiar with implant treatments which is a prosthetic treatment with a surgical component.
A clinical case will be selected to perform the implant placement on an epoxy resin model in which the provisional implant abutment will be fabricated as well as a demonstration of the surgical stent. Next day a video of the same prepared case will be presented in order to visualize the different stages on the delivery of the immediate implant treatment.
On the second workshop, participants will learn different ways to harvest connective tissue grafts as well as different suture techniques on a surgical workshop on pigs.
The idea behind this set up is to provide to the participants with the reality of the treatment on implants we perform daily. Performing a workshop on a real case allows the participant with an unforgetable and unique experience. Both workshops will be performed by the participants in order to have a global experience in this type of high advanced implant esthetic courses.
